I love when anyone takes a risk, and the designers who showcased their collection definitely did not disappoint. I'm consciously always trying to gain the courage to take more risks in my fashion and the choices I make in life. I tell my students to not use cliches in their writing, but the saying "you only live once" runs through my mind often.
The most unique and beautifully designed would have to go to Prabal Gurung in New York. He launched his collection at Fashion Week in 2009 and is now known in celebrity circles as the designer to go to when wanting to make a grand entrance.
