Our Weekend

So we're clear here in Tampa of Tropical Storm Isaac, but it doesn't look so good for folks in New Orleans. Let's hope they're all safe! 

Here are some pics over the weekend of the Republican National Convention. it took us nearly an hour to get over a damn bridge to our place, having to go over 5 checkpoints that could have destroyed our tires if it wanted. The nonstop helicopters over us, too, are starting to blend in with the everyday noise. Yesterday we met Tucker Carlson of MSNBC while taking a walk in the drizzly rain. 

The fencing and temporary concrete blocks are everywhere! This picture doesn't even come close to showing how much fencing is up...apparently $50 million worth of fencing!
